Telecommuter position, fluent in Spanish, living in LA/San Diego area. The Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing information, service and assistance related to the medical plans to plan participants and sponsoring employers as well as various company personnel. The position is responsible for special tasks and projects as they are assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
***Customer service experience is essential/call center experience preferred
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word, and strong computer skills
* Excellent communication (both verbal and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills, and fluent in Spanish
* Proven ability in judgment and handling angry/irate customers
* Ability to expeditiously process quality transactions and provide follow-up as necessary
* Ability to work as a team member and achieve team goals in a "customer-focused" environment
* Background of employee benefits (Health & Welfare), while not required is highly desired
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
* High school diploma or its equivalent; Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred
* Two or more years previous experience in customer service or experience with medical and dental benefits
