C#/.Net/WPF Developer - Permanent position - ANYWHERE in the world

We're an independent software vendor with a small team of programmers. Currently we have developers in the US, Australia and Poland. We're looking to add another.

The position will involve aiding in the ongoing development of our products. Our main product is a specialized CAD application, but we are also preparing to launch other tools.

We really don't care where you work, so long as you're able to work as part of our team effectively. We also don't really care if you're a night owl, or have to pick up your kids at a certain time every day, or you like a mid afternoon siesta. So long as you're working effectively, we're completely flexible when it comes to schedule.

Our current programmers are permanent, this position would be the same. We're completely flexible with how it is structured (salary/wages/holidays/other benefits/etc) so that both sides think they're getting a good deal out of it all.

Salary will be commensurate with experience, but will be at the low end if you're in a high cost of living country (eg US), vs high end in a low cost of living country.

Skills & Requirements

You need to be a talented software developer! If you're just starting out, or aren't very confident with your programming skills, then this likely isn't the position for you.

Here's what else we're looking for:

* Experience. Someone that has been writing 'production' software for at least 5 years. It doesn't have to be commercial software, it could be open source projects, games, etc, so long as it's being used by more than a few people

* Ability to solve problems. This sounds cliche, but we want someone that can think through a task and find the best way to solve whatever problem it is intended to solve. It's no good if you're an expert in the relevant languages, if you don't know how to apply it to creating solutions. We don't want to have to hold your hand.

* Customer awareness. You generally wont have to deal directly with customers very often, but have to understand that it's because of them you and the other people that work here have a job. You have to be willing at times to do something 'the hard way' if it results in happier customers.

* Confident communicator. Because you can work anywhere, you've got to be able to communicate effectively. You can have less than perfect english and still communicate effectively, so long as you clarify things when you need to and be certain that your point/s are understood.

We will consider developers that don't have significant experience in the languages we use, so long as you can demonstrate that you will get up to speed in them quickly.
