Do you get chills reading (or crafting) the perfect email? Can you take something short, and make it even more concise? Can you take something pretty good, and make it sing?

We're immediately seeking multiple experienced copy editors to help us produce our cold email campaigns. Specifically, you'll be 1) giving feedback to our writers as they draft a new campaign (applying defined internal standards) and 2) line-editing their work to get it ready for final delivery.

In this role, you'll learn everything there is to know about cold email, and the best practices of persuasive email copywriting, a valuable editorial specialty in high demand.

Of course, existing familiarity with sales and best practices for prospecting emails are a huge advantage.

About Salesfolk & Our Team:

Salesfolk helps B2B companies write emails that start conversations with customers. Although our campaigns are sent to large audiences of thousands (and millions) of people, our emails are always highly-targeted so that they feel like one-on-one conversations.

We're a small team of about 20 ambitious, quirky individuals who are obsessed with writing, globetrotting, goats, and unusual jokes. We are firm believers in remote collaboration, and don't believe that you have to come into an office or have 9-5 hours to do amazing work and get shit done.

Our team is distributed around the United States, with people in Seattle, Los Angeles, New York, Austin, San Francisco, etc. (Some of our writers are even currently traveling around the world on a year-long trip!) Everyone's pretty "Type A" and lives on Slack, so distance and time zones aren't much of an issue.

Qualifications & Required Experience

- Familiar with Slack, Skype and Google Docs
- 4+ years of writing experience for business or sales writing
- 2+ years of editing experience
- Availability and capacity to turn projects around quickly and on short notice (24-48 hours days)

It's Even Better If You Have:

- Supervisory editorial experience (getting other people to fix their own work)
- Worked with sales/prospecting emails (writing or editing) before
- Experience or knowledge with inside sales or email marketing
- Knowledge and experience with SaaS and sales technology/processes
- Have technical knowledge and experience writing/editing technical copy

Currently, it is a contract/freelance role, but there are potential opportunities for full-time employment (even remote), depending on performance.

Compensation is competitive, based on experience, with opportunities for bonuses.
