Location: Claremont, CA
Do you want to use your superpowers to help save the lives of thousands of homeless pets each month? Can you help us evaluate/improve our user behavior tracking methods and drive the effort of building out our data analytics platform? Are you extremely data curious, focused on results, a self-starter, and have demonstrated success in using analytics to drive growth and success of web and mobile products?

Adopt-a-Pet.com is North America's largest non-profit adoptable-pet search engine. We believe there's a home for every shelter pet, if they're seen by the right person at the right time. We open a virtual window for 4M+ unique visitors each month into every shelter pet's cage so potential adopters can peek inside, helping over 17,000 animal shelters and rescue organizations find homes for their pets.

Help us optimize our SEO practice and gain key insights about adopters, shelters, partners and products. Identify user cohorts, define metrics, develop regular reports and perform ad-hoc analyses that support agile sprints, innovative R&D, and marketing efforts. Using your affinity for visualizing and communicating data, you'll help teams focus on what gets the most animals adopted, works best for shelters and partners, and informs the smartest product roadmap. Be the person on our team who always asks why and relentlessly pursues the answer.

What you'll do:

- Mine product data and deliver analytics to gain an insight around user behaviors and product usage.

- Create and maintain reports and dashboards across organizational functions

- Play a key role in defining, scoping, and building out the analytics platform

- Optimize data capture to ensure all relevant user milestones are tracked

- Analyze website usage and user funnels to identify opportunities for improvement

- Develop strategic analyses for stakeholders, comparing to industry benchmarks when appropriate

- Manage our SEO program by monitoring metrics and defining content strategy

- Perform regular SEO audits to identify what's working and what's not working

- Monitor industry changes in SEO and Web analytics and translate those into actionable recommendations

- Manage Google Adwords not-for-profit grant budget

- Provide key insights that will help us manage our marketing spend across ad retargeting, SEO and Google Adwords.
