What you'll do:​

As a Science Quiz Writer, you will develop curricula and write conceptual quizzes that introduce quantitative industry fields to aspiring scientists. You'll play a key role in the growth and evolution of an exceptional body of content. Specifically, you will:

- Independently research topics that are unfamiliar to you
- Focus and simplify to distill big, complex topics down to their core components
- Provide perspective on what makes a topic significant or interesting
- Write well, both in problem-solving exercises and in explanations
- Work with the design team to create effective concept illustrations

This is a remote work position.

This is you:

- Excellent sense of what makes an explanation or example great
- A strong ability to break down a new topic into its foundational concepts
- Experience in one or more of the following industries: energy, automotive, biotechnology, logistics, software engineering, quantitative finance
- Have (or are pursuing) an advanced degree in math, science, or engineering
- Enjoys researching, teaching, and applied projects
- Strong command of English
- Can work a minimum of 20 hours per week

To land an interview, you will need one of the following, in addition to your resume:

- Past activity writing problems, solutions, or wiki pages on Brilliant. Send us your profile link!
- A scientific writing sample that distills a concept to an audience of college science majors, with associated problem-solving exercises

This position pays $40/hour.
