What we're looking for

Ad Hoc is seeking a bright, energetic individual to help us establish and run our equipment program. Right now, we have over 100 team members working remotely, all with company provided and supported equipment. Candidates will be responsible for keeping current on equipment trends, team member equipment needs, market analysis, and a procurement pipeline.


The primary goal for this position is that every Ad hoc employee has their full set of equipment on their first day of employment. Once employees have equipment, the candidate will keep an inventory and provide basic help desk services (e.g. determining when a simple fix is preferred or when AppleCare is required).Ideal candidates will be motivated, curious, and helpful. The heart of this position is empathizing with other team members in their equipment needs and troubles.

Description of Duties

Procurement analysis.

Conduct analysis on best methods to procure Ad Hoc IT assets.

Purchasing.

Purchase equipment as required by Ad Hoc employees.

Inventory.

Maintain accurate inventory of all Ad Hoc IT assets, physical and logical.

Technical Support.

Provide basic troubleshooting support to Ad Hoc users. Appropriately engage AppleCare (or similar service) when necessary.

Communication.

Communicate clearly and concisely with employees on the status of equipment needs and requests.

Training.

Train users, as required, on common tools used by Ad Hoc.

Requirements

Self Starter; Build an equipment program as we grow, resolve issues without explicit direction.

Financial Discernment; Find creative ways to solve problems at low cost.

Organization; Keep track of thousands of pieces of equipment and software licenses.
