As the Market Development Manager, you are responsible for the identification, development, and execution of targeted sales and distribution strategies within Latin America and emerging markets as determined by StoneAge. Having the goal of increasing awareness and adoption of StoneAge products, while growing sales revenue across the market segments, this position actively develops both direct and partnered sales and distribution channels based on the needs of the market in said territory and/or industry.

This position reports to the VP of Sales and Marketing.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Develop and execute specific sales and distribution strategies and targeted sales campaigns that will result in improved customer relationships, increased awareness of StoneAge products, and increased sales within Latin America.
- Develop annual and rolling quarterly sales forecasts for Latin America and meet or exceed revenue, profitability and other goals set by the VPSM.
- Recommend and develop rental equipment strategies for the appropriate market.
- Develop relationships with contractors to fully understand their business and their customers' needs and thereby create contractor and plant specific sales strategies to promote automated equipment and tool sales.
- Give comprehensive presentations, demonstrations and training sessions regarding StoneAge's automated equipment and tool capabilities to customers with the focus of helping them understand how StoneAge can help achieve their outcomes.
- Facilitate technical discussions between Engineering and contractors/end-users to generate new product concepts or address "hard problems" in plants.
- Collaborate with the Product Strategy, Operations and Sales Leadership team to forecast sales of new and existing products to support inventory management decisions.
- Provide input to Product Plans for proposed new and updated equipment including product requirements, "How to Sell" strategies, territory forecasts, pricing, etc. Provide input to the Product Strategy team regarding product obsolescence and health based on market information from Latin America.
- Keep ahead of industry trends within Latin America including new products, applications, high potential geographical growth markets, and competitive moves; effectively communicate all market information to Sales, Marketing and Product Strategy Leadership.
- Assist in the development of various marketing campaigns, promotions, pricing strategies, etc. for Latin America. Provide final review of translated marketing materials for appropriate languages.
- Communicate all travel plans, sales opportunities, and other needs to the VPSM.
- Provide weekly report to the VPSM on challenges, opportunities, and progress made within Latin America.
- Assist in the growth and accuracy of the CRM database for marketing, specifically plant and end-user contacts.
- Contribute to the development of annual company and sales strategic planning objectives and initiatives as requested by the VPSM.
- Perform other duties assigned by the VPSM.

KNOWLEDGE AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

The Market Development Manager must:

- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with customers, dealers, and employees; communicate and interact effectively with management and team members at all levels through both verbal and written means.
- Be able to communicate in Spanish proficiently
- Have the ability to be technical

- Effectively collaborate within cross-functional teams.
- Have proven track record in sales and relationship building skills.
- Have the ability to learn and possess the knowledge of StoneAge product lines and processes.
- Be self-motivated, disciplined, and able to work independently.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be customer service driven.

OTHER INFORMATION

- Travel is required.
- Responsibilities may require extended working hours beyond normal business hours.
- This position can be remote but travel to Latin America is a must.
