The Marketing Specialist position is all about taking material from a variety of sources, distilling it into interesting and informative content, and then strategizing on how best to share it with our market both digitally and via events. Please note that this is a remote role!


The Marketing Specialist performs research within our market, designs and executes a digital communication plan, and coordinates conference and tradeshow logistics, all to engage and nurture prospective business for our line of Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS). He/she works closely with the rest of the marketing team as well as thought leaders inside and outside of AssetWorks to create original content for email blasts, nurture campaigns, blog posts, newsletters, and more. The Marketing Specialist also researches, schedules, plans and coordinates resources for the various industry conferences and tradeshows we attend. This role is also responsible for creating content that aligns with our current marketing strategy, considers the buyer's persona and journey, and complies with our standards of quality.

* Manage the creation and delivery of our regular digital communications with customers and prospects via email, website, and social media
* Research and write original content and thought leadership pieces such as newsletter articles, blog entries, social media posts, infographics and more
* Organize and execute email campaigns, including the development of the target market and a timeline of content and calls to action
* Research and make recommendations for new topics and content based on industry trends, competitive shifts or customer demand
* Collaborate with marketing leadership to identify the most appropriate methods for distributing content, including the use of marketing automation (e.g., engagement engine and nurture marketing)
* Conduct analytical projects and leverage market data to improve content marketing strategies and tactics with the ultimate goal of increasing the quantity and quality of leads and opportunities.
* Research, schedule, plan and coordinate resources for industry conferences and tradeshows
* Ensure consistency of voice and tone throughout the entire content portfolio
* Develop a strong understanding of the company's solutions to support the creation of unique content and messaging
* Gather technical information through research and subject matter expert interviews to develop the messaging and positioning of the company's solutions
* Manage the company's social media presence and develop a strong working relationship with bloggers and the social press
* Build, manage, measure, analyze, and improve the company's social media profiles and presence.


* Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, communications, English or the social sciences is required
* Minimum of 3 years of professional working experience in digital marketing or web publishing (must have a current portfolio to share)
* Prior experience developing and curating marketing content
* Must have experience managing social media, ideally for a B2B company
* Strong working knowledge of marketing automation systems (Marketo, Pardot, etc)
* Experience planning and executing conference and tradeshow logistics
* Proven ability to monitor industry trends and process thoughts into stimulating content
* Experience working with customer relationship management systems (Salesforce) and web analytics (Google Analytics) is a plus
* Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
* Strong command of the English language (spelling, punctuation and grammar) required
* Prior experience with Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS) or enterprise software solutions in general is desirable, but not a must
