The regional solutions director is responsible for ensuring high-quality and highly-efficient operations within the middle east and Africa regions for Symplicity, covering the full cycle of the presales process and post sales management while serving as a subject matter expert.

They ensure that Symplicity's products are well-received by customers, and must ensure client satisfaction using a developed understanding of their needs. Thus, this position requires great research, planning and development within the field.

Responsibilities include:

- Working closely with the sales team from resellers' organizations on proposals and pitches for business.
- Working internally with implementation and consulting teams on customer solutions and facilitating delivery at customer site.
- Attending meetings with business development managers and acting as a solutions expert (product and services).
- Putting together business cases for the sales teams to support their proposals.
- Working closely and collaboratively with customers to devise effective solutions, ensuring that the company's product can deliver on the customer's requirements.
- Working closely with customers to understand and capture requirements.
- Replying to customers following requests for information and proposal requests.
- Presenting proposals to customers alongside members of the sales team.
- Providing ongoing support for customers post implementation.
- Producing detailed costings for customers and ensuring the contract is profitable while working closely with Regional VP and Services VP.
- Leverage relationships with senior level management in college, university and university systems settings to position Symplicity for opportunities.
- Demonstrate skills in navigating issues at an academic institution and overcoming obstacles with strategic problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrates ability to partner with Sales and Consulting account teams to identify and develop strategic consulting opportunities
- Develop custom proposals for strategic service offerings.
- Support the design of complex, large scale emerging/custom strategic offerings with continuous focus on Delivery Excellence
- Acts as reviewer of other team members artifacts to define and evolve service specific artifacts and templates for strategic services.
- Able to lead clients through formal strategic planning process with emphasis on process modeling and change management. Able to conduct interviews to identify and clarify client needs and opportunities and to develop strategic recommendation based on those interview results.
- Consult with client regularly on best practices for implementation and configuration. Identify and propose creative configurations when existing system functionality doesn't match client's stated expectations.
- Analyze client requirements to develop appropriate training, scheduling, and customization strategies.
- Create project plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements of the client.
- Coordinate with Professional Services department to implement custom solutions.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of our products and stay up-to-date with ongoing product releases.

Required Skills

- Fluency in English and Arabic.
- Able to work with challenging time zones as the majority of the work is conducted remotely and internationally.
- Highly-organized, detailed, and able to work within a self-directed environment and with resellers/partners.
- Proven experience with developing and implementing effective practices and strategic plans for consulting support services with major higher education institutions or systems.
- Some previous experience in developing and deploying new consulting programs/solutions preferred.
- Experience with using or administering education technologies including career development systems.
- Excellent skills in navigating issues at an academic institution and overcoming obstacles with strategic problem-solving skills.
- An aptitude for generating client specific documents for unique implementations.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills. Experience in writing client presentable deliverables a must.
- Successful track record at leading clients through a program of change that impacts business, processes and technology.
- Willingness to travel (up to 60% of time) and to work both independently and with a team to deliver high-quality consulting engagements required.
- Ability to write client specific documents for unique implementations.

Desired Qualifications

- BA/BS degree in a related field required; MA/MS degree preferred.
- 5 or more years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong business acumen, problem solving abilities, and good judgment.
- Strong oral/written communication, analytical and organizational skills.
- High integrity and an unyielding commitment to compliance and innovation.
- Understanding and knowledge of all Symplicity products and services, applicable technical knowledge.
