I was recently talking to my girlfriend about starting her own blog and she was having the same issue about english not being her native language.

She’s been speaking english for a few years now but still sometimes has trouble spelling and finding the ‘right words’ to express herself.

Nowadays with Youtube and podcasting, you don’t really need to be able to write well to start a blog.

Instead, I would suggest you start a podcast or videocast and place the audio or video on a website where people can either stream it or download it.

In some ways this can be even better than a written blog because people actually hear a human voice and feel more connected to your site.

The best part is, you only need to be able to speak english fairly ok, you don’t need to be a great speller necessarily.
