How to tell if a job is a scam.

Many Americans would love to work from home. The reasons vary; some people may not wish to commute and some may simply not enjoy working in an office environment. Others may have small children at home and would prefer not to have to enroll them in day care. Whatever the reason, companies that offer to provide people with an opportunity to work from their homes usually find themselves quite busy with inquiries.
While there are legitimate opportunities to work from home, many such offers are just scams designed …

Can you really work from home in your underwear?

I’m sure you can if you really wanted to, but I guarantee you that it will affect your productivity and time management. I’m sure you’ve come across the ads in your email or online that promote their money making product by saying that it’s so easy that you can do it from home in your underwear. I’ve now been working from home for over 10 years and I’ve never once worked in my underwear (I did try it without success).
There are times when we go on vacation I may be …

I’ve been mesmerize into the darkside.

With all the talk these days about Blackberry, iPhone, smartpohne, texting, apps etc I’ve been getting the feeling that I’m being left behind. I’ve been making a living for the past 10 years with computers online and I didn’t even own a cell phone. After-all I work from home so if anyone ever wanted to get hold of me they could either email or phone me on my land line. Whenever we were out, either Caron or one of our girls would have their cell phone with them, in the …

“Hands Free” is now law for Ontario Commuters.

The talk here in Ontario the past couple weeks is the new law that will take effect in a few days which will prohibit drivers from using any sort of portable device while driving unless it”s “hands free”. However we do have a shared (you wouldn’t know it) phone that Caron and I take with …

The Medical Transcriptionist Boom in a Sluggish Economy.

In spite of the somewhat sluggish economy, in specific fields job opportunities are truly abundant and simply waiting to be tapped by qualified applicants. As a result of new technology and techniques, new skill sets are required but because the required skills have changed faster than the overall workforce, the numbers of qualified applicants has actually been decreasing for the past several years as workers rush to brush up and improve their talents in order to be considered “qualified” and in the mean-time, companies wait to fill these in-demand jobs.
