How to correct any formatting issues within the jobs list.

23 June 2009 3 Comments

A recent user of Genuinejobs.com wrote in to say that they were experiencing some formatting issues when the accessed the vacant jobs list page and they were asking how to correct this. Though Genuinejobs.com is a new website and in most cases the formatting issues with IE8 is reserved for older websites, we’re affected. However our programmers are hard at work trying to find a solution to any errors you may have encountered.

As we await a “fix”, here’s a simple way to correct any formatting issues (text all over the page that are not in the place they were meant to be) like the one on the job search page where the jobs are pushed all the way to the bottom of the page and the ads appear at the top. This will not only work on Genuinejobs.com, but any website that you usually visit that no longer loads the way it used to, prior to you installing Internet Explorer 8.

I assume that when they created IE 8 they knew that some sites would be affected, so they built in a neat tool called the “compatibility view” which automatically corrects any errors that any older sites may experience. In the video below, I’ll show you how to use the compatibility view if you’re using Internet Explorer 8.

Thanks for the tip! All of the scrolling down to the listings was driving me nuts. Silly me.

    Hi,

Thank you very much for the regular updates…
    I wish Jen’s mom quick recovery…
I was wondering if there is a work_at_home job that you would recommend for me that is very genuine?…Most of them seem to ask for cash first-hand…

    Warm Regards,
    Karol.
