Nice tips. I would also add the following:

try to change your surroundings from time to time. You can take your laptop outside, or go to a cafe with wifi and work from there.

Get involved with online forums related to your type of work. This will help with some of the loss of communication you will have by not working at the office.

I started working from home 5 years ago and though it was difficult at first, it has been great in the long run. It helped me to set up a structured routine in the morning to tell myself that the work day is starting and that I need to leave home behind. Also, I have taken advantage of technologies that have allowed me to stay in close contact with co-workers. I've had success with the teleconferencing company vesta networks, http://www.vestanetworks.com/index.php
Great article for anyone new to working at home.

These are all very good ideas. I find jogging to be helpful, to keep my body well conditioned and my mind fresh. I'm still working on getting a clean work area though, it's somewhat cluttered right now.
