I’ve been mesmerize into the darkside.
With all the talk these days about Blackberry, iPhone, smartpohne, texting, apps etc I’ve been getting the feeling that I’m being left behind. I’ve been making a living for the past 10 years with computers online and I didn’t even own a cell phone. After-all I work from home so if anyone ever wanted to get hold of me they could either email or phone me on my land line. Whenever we were out, either Caron or one of our girls would have their cell phone with them, in the event there was ever an emergency.
This past December the contract we had with our cell phone company was due to expire and our girls wanted to upgrade their phones. Don’t ask me why teenagers need Blackberry phones, but I/we figured that it was time for us to get us a smartphone as well. I still recall sitting at Nationals (cheerleading) and wishing if I had a way to check my stats. I did get a chance to sneak a peek at the football scores with Indy’s iPod touch which connected on an open WiFi feed.. but she didn’t allow me to surf further.
No more will I be in the dark when I’m stuck in an all day cheer leading competition with hundreds of girls and boys screaming at the top of their lungs with nothing to do but babysit my headache. I can now log on to check my pay per click stats, how much money I’ve made on Clickbank and even the score from any sporting event globally! Once I figure out the inner workings I’ll even hit you guys a line on Twitter.
Do you own a Blackberry? Maybe you can suggest a few “must have” apps? Leave me a comment below on your top choices for Apps and anything else I should know about BlackBerry phones
Speaking about Smartphones, here’s an interesting article I came across earlier on PC World…
Do Smartphones Promote Work-Life Imbalance for iWorkers?
Here’s a pic of me opening the smart new Blackberry Bold 9000…
